Christina Applegate's new television show "Up All Night" has officially been picked up at NBC.

The former "Samantha Who?" star has not been on television in the two year since the ABC show was cancelled in 2009.

The new single-camera sitcom stars Applegate, 39, as a working mother with a husband who is a stay-at-home dad, played by "Arrested Development"'s Will Arnett. The pilot also stars "Saturday Night Live" actress Maya Rudolph as Applegate's boss and best friend.

Applegate is one of the show's producers, along with "Saturday Night Live" creator Lorne Michaels and writer Emily Spivey, a spokesman told OnTheRedCarpet.com.

"Up All Night" will air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
