Bristol Palin has signed on to appear in a 10-part reality series on BIO, the U.S. cable network said Monday.
The 20-year-old daughter of former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin competed on "Dancing with the Stars." She also speaks publicly about her experiences as a young, unwed mother.
The Hollywood Reporter said the as-yet-unnamed BIO reality show will follow the younger Palin as she moves from Alaska, where her mother was once governor, to Los Angeles, where she will "work at a small charity in need." Also appearing on the show will be actor brothers Chris and Kyle Massey, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
"Bristol is the kind of personality BIO is drawn to," David McKillop, executive vice president of programming at A&E and the BIO channel, said in a statement. "Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years, but this is the first time she's opening up her real life with her son and her friends the Massey brothers."
