Ashton Kutcher is in final negotiations to replace Charlie Sheen in the sitcom "Two and a Half Men," the Hollywood Reporter said.
Kutcher, who is best known for starring in the sitcom "That '70s Show" and for producing the practical joke series "Punk'd," is married to actress Demi Moore.
Moore was engaged in the 1980s to actor Emilio Estevez, who is Sheen's older brother.
Sheen was fired from "Men" this year, midway through Season 7, because of his erratic behavior and drug use.
The show's creator Chuck Lorre, the CBS network and producers Warner Bros. have not officially said whether the show will return for an eight season.
The Hollywood Reporter quoted two sources familiar with the talks as saying Kutcher is getting a "huge payday" to join "Men," although exactly how much he will be paid was not immediately known.
one of the parties directly involved in the negotiations with Kutcher are commenting on the development, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
