Lara Logan, correspondent for CBS, has opened up about the brutal sexual assault she endured while covering the political protests in Egypt's Tahrir Square.

She sat down with Scott Pelley for a 60 Minutes Interview, saying that she thought she was going to die.

"Our camera battery went down, and we had to stop for a moment, and suddenly, Bahar [her cameraman] looks at me and says, 'We've got to get out of here."

Logan was attacked by a mob of several hundred men, who she says tore her clothes off and raped her with their hands.

"There was no doubt in my mind that I was in the process of dying," she said. "I thought not only am I going to die, but it's going to be just a torturous death that's going to go on forever."

It was a group of women together with several Egyptian soldiers that rescued her from the assault.

Afterward, she was flown immediately to the United States where she was hospitalized for four days.

Logan's entire 60 Minutes interview will air on Sunday.
