Tony Danza has filed for divorce from his wife, Tracy, after 24 years of marriage. A family source told UsMagazine.com Thursday of the news.
The long time actor's decision to pursue divorce is not unlike many other Americans - which all contributes to an alarming trend which began to spike in the 1970's, and has continued on since.
Tony Danza and Tracy Danza are the parents of two grown daughters.
"They've technically been separated for a few years but they worked through it and were still together," an insider told the Web site. "Not sure what happened, they decided to make it official."
Danza is best known for his roles on TV's "Taxi" and "Who's the Boss?"
