Gas prices down last week despite rise of crude oil

Crude oil prices gained 76 cents to close at $100.96 a barrel Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 6 cents to close at $3.587 per million British thermal units.

Home heating oil picked up 2 cents to settle at $2.9919 per gallon.

Gasoline added 7 cents to end the session at $2.6327 a gallon.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline Friday was $3.286, down from $3.292 Thursday, AAA reported.
