Actress Elizabeth Hurley is set to appear in a multi-episode arc during the fifth season of hit show "Gossip Girl."
Executive producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran say Hurley, 46, will
play Diana Payne, "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be
reckoned with. Diana's entrance on the Upper East Side will change the
lives of all our characters -- including, and especially, Gossip Girl
herself."
"Elizabeth's sense of humor, intelligence and beauty fit the 'GG' world perfectly," the producers tell People. "We feel very fortunate to have her."
Hurley was originally set to appear on the failed "Wonder Woman" pilot as star Adrianne Palicki's nemesis.
