Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum and lead drummer of Love and Theft Chris Tyrell are engaged, Us Weekly reports.
Over the Fourth of July weekend, Tyrell, 24, popped the question to
Scott, 25, while the two were enjoying a day at the lake in Tennessee, according to Us Weekly.
The couple met when they each served as opening acts on Tim McGraw's Southern Voice Tour in 2010.
Scott is the second member of Lady Antebellum to tie the knot. Charles
Kelley is married, leaving Dave Haywood as the lone available member of
the Grammy-winning trio, according to Billboard.
Lady Antebellum released the top-selling country album of 2010 with "Need You
Now" and is preparing to release its follow-up, "Own The Night," due out
Sept. 13.
In April 2010, Scott told Us Weekly she felt "blessed" that
Lady Antebellum formed the way it did. "Whatever just happens naturally
is what we go with," she said. "But when it all comes down to do it,
there's a lot of timing and fate involved."
