A freak accident has killed two Canadians after a
440-pound black bear flew through the windshield of their car, Reuters said.
The bear also died as it hit the vehicle being containing the 25-year-old driver and a 40-year-old man sitting
behind her.
The accident occurred Monday evening in a rural area 25 miles outside of the federal capital of Ottawa.
Local police spokesman Martin Fournel told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp, "We don't see (this) often, even if we live in the country. Lots of deer, but collisions with a bear and two people died? That's really rare."
