Oil Prices Finish Lower for the Week

Oil prices settled lower on the New York Mercantile Exchange Friday, closing out the week at $86.20 per barrel of benchmark grade, down 16 cents.

Natural gas showed no movement for today, ending at $3.868 per million British thermal units, the same as it was at the market's opening, UPI reports.

Home heating oil fell 0.0084 cents to $2.7240 per gallon, while gasoline finished the trading session up 0.0306 cents, or $2.5583 per gallon.

Based on a survey of national data, the average price of unleaded gasoline at the pump edged up to $3.156 per gallon from $3.145 Thursday, AAA said.
