With the support of our readers for eight years and counting, we have worked to shine the light on truth and information that government, big business and the corporate media want to remain hidden.

Working on a budget that is less than pocket change for the corporate media, we published 1,181 articles in 2006 alone, taking on such issues as the criminal wars being waged against Iraq and Afghanistan, seeking the truth about 9/11, stolen elections, the economy, Social Security, the influence of Christian extremists and the Israel Lobby, the theft of our liberties, and political and corporate corruption.

Now we are confronted by a wounded administration that is more dangerous than ever, with an occupant of the White House -- a self-declared "unitary executive" -- who has all but proclaimed himself a dictator. Your help is more crucial than ever if we are to stop the madness, rebuild America and change the way we treat the rest of the world.

This year we need your help to not only continue our work, but also to help us with the expense of replacing equipment that is being pushed to its limits.

If you can, please consider making a secure credit card donation of $10 or more or a recurring donation, or if you prefer to send a check or money order, email editor@onlinejournal.com for a mailing address.

Feel free to print out articles and distribute them to friends and family.

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself. --Thomas Paine
