Crude oil prices slipped under $99 per barrel in New York Friday morning, retreating from a strong four-day rally.
On the New York, Mercantile Exchange, crude oil gave up 52 cents to $98.46 per barrel after peaking above $101 earlier in the week.
Home heating oil added 0.87 cents to $3.0919 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline shed 0.24 cents to reach $2.5132 per gallon.
Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 4.8 cents to reach $3.362 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline fell to $3.384 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $3.393, AAA said.
