Actress Viola Davis has confirmed she and her husband, actor Julius Tennon, adopted a son.
People.com said the couple officially became parents to the child last week.
Davis, whose film credits include "Doubt" and "The Help," said their son's name is Genesis, however, she didn't say how old he was or where he was born.
Tennon also has two children from previous relationships, People.com said. He has appeared on TV's "Rizzoli & Isles," "Criminal Minds," "The Closer" and "Friday Night Lights."
