Attendants on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Detroit threatened to throw singer Whitney Houston off the plane after she loudly refused to buckle her seatbelt.

TMZ said Wednesday afternoon's incident ended when Houston eventually allowed a flight attendant to fasten her seatbelt before takeoff.

The celebrity news Web site quoted an unnamed source close to the Grammy Award winner as saying she "overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight, but she's still 100 percent sober and was on the way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie."

Houston's once-bright music and acting careers have been overshadowed in recent years by reports of her erratic behavior and battle with drug addiction.
