Gold, Silver Prices on the Rise Again

Gold prices topped $1,800 an ounce Friday on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, adding $33.60 to settle at $1,812.10 an ounce.

Silver settled up $1.328 to $40.78 an ounce.

The euro fell to $1.3788 from Thursday's $1.3884. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 76.87 Friday from 76.76 yen Thursday.

The British pound fell to $1.5793 from Thursday's $1.5795. The U.S. standard was 7.7913 Hong Kong dollars Friday from to 7.7914 Hong Kong dollars Thursday.

The dollar was 1,111.90 South Korean won Friday from 1,111.84 South Korean won Thursday.
