Top-rated tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is being romantically linked to pro-golfer Rory McIlroy after his recent split with longtime-girlfriend Holly Sweeney.
A U.K. tennis blogger took pictures of Wozniacki and McIlroy in what appears to be the couple kissing on the corner outside of a cafe in London Sunday night, MSNBC reports.
Sources near the pair confirmed the two have a "close friendship," reported Irish Golf Desk Monday.
McIlroy showcased their growing friendship when he tweeted a congratulations to the Dane on her 21st birthday last week, teasing, "You're getting old".
"At least now you will be able to buy me a drink in the US," she replied. "Not only in Hamburg."
"Rory McIlroy's long-term relationship with Holly Sweeney came to an amicable end before the British Open," an International Sports Management spokesman (ISM) said, as reported by the National Post.
