Two Alhambra, Calif., police squad cars responding to an emergency call collided Sunday, killing one of the officers, authorities said.
Officer Ryan Stringer, 26, was killed as he responded to a robbery call, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The other officer, whose name wasn't released, was hospitalized in stable condition in Pasadena, the newspaper said.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
