Rodney King Jr., the victim of a 1991 videotaped beating by Los Angeles police, has been arrested in Riverside County, Calif., authorities said.
King, 46, of Rialto, Calif. was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies on suspicion of driving under the influence, The Riverside (Calif.) Press Enterprise reported.
Riverside County authorities said deputies stopped King's car Tuesday afternoon after the vehicle was spotted driving erratically.
After speaking to King, they arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
King was videotaped being beaten by Los Angeles police in 1991 and four officers were tried, the Los Angeles Times reported.
