That great anti-capitalist revolutionary . . . John McCain?

Was John McCain brainwashed by his communist captors during his POW years at the Hanoi Hilton?

Did they hypnotize him, anticipating the future emergence of some triggering words -- such as Wall Street market meltdown -- to suddenly turn a lifelong crusader for deregulation and privatization into a firebrand raging against capitalist greed?

Its crazy.

Desperate to gain traction for his failing campaign, hes gone absurdly opportunistic. Judging by his new rhetoric, youd half expect him to lead an angry mob bearing pitchforks and flaming torches against the New York Stock Exchange.

Yeah, the leading revolutionaries of modern times: Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro . . . and Bushclone McSame!

Like an increasing number of the rest of you, I personally feel that popular, democratic takeovers of Monopolys plundering entities, which have destroyed so many lives in America and elsewhere, are fully warranted. Only people-before-profits priorities can save this country.

But McCain is totally bogus. He flip-flops worse than a kid wearing rubber sandals running across an empty parking lot.

Honor comes from honesty, and our dear nation cant survive another hugely dishonorable

presidential regime.

Who does Big Bad John think hes fooling?

His manipulative masquerade is more transparent than Lake Erie water after zebra mussels did their filtering thing.

Whats that I see?

Its Karl Marxs ghost, laughing his ass off!

Dennis Rahkonen of Superior, Wisconsin, has been writing progressive commentary with a Heartland perspective for various outlets since the 60s.
