U.S. President Barack Obama's re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee say they've raised a combined $70 million in the past three months.
In an e-mail to supporters Thursday, the Obama campaign said it raised $42.8 million during the third quarter and the DNC raised $27.3 million, with the total exceeding their $55 million goal for the quarter.
The campaign raised $86 million in the second quarter.
Campaign officials said 606,027 people gave more than 766,000 total donations -- 98 percent of them $250 or less, Politico reported.
