Barack Obama Wants to Keep Young Voters Actively Involved

Barack Obama and his administration are trying to re-engage young voters, going to college campuses to help build enthusiasm and awareness for key political topics.
Last month Obama talked to about 1,000 people at Penn State University about reviving the U.S. economy and a few weeks later he visited Cleveland State University.
Both schools are in politically important states. Some political experts say Obama can't be re-elected unless he wins Ohio, for example, The Washington Post reported.
"We are so interested in figuring out how to get your ideas, your input, your energy," Obama told a group of Cleveland State and other students. The president shook each attendee's hand and posed for a group photo.
The White House said last week it plans to hold at least 100 roundtables this spring between administration officials and young people.
The administration said it would also ask young people about their ideas through a series of national conference calls and Web chats.

"Spread the word," the president told the group, "because we're going to be going to different college campuses we want to organize."
