While reader donations have been thin this year, I have managed to keep Online Journal afloat. But this month, I need your help in raising $1,500 by Dec. 31 in order to pay the bills. So any spare dollars you can afford -- $10, $25, $50, even $5 -- will help in reaching that goal.

PayPal takes credit cards even if you do not have a PayPal account. Moreover, you don�t have to worry about using today�s PayPal for donations. Just choose one of the below PayPal buttons.

In order to maintain political independence, donations to Online Journal are not tax deductible.

This year, I had hoped to raise enough money to upgrade Online Journal�s software to add features readers have asked for, but, in this dreadful economy, that didn�t happen. Perhaps things will be better in 2010 and I will be able to afford the several thousand dollars a makeover will cost.

Now more than ever, with the corporate media tanking and their coverage increasingly worsening, it is crucial to keep independent publications like Online Journal alive and growing and that takes the support of our readers. Online Journal, which is in its 12th year, receives no corporate or foundation funding. All it has is you, its readers.
